It’s not too late to make plans for Valentine’s Day dinner. Here are some suggestions for a special meal on a special night with your special someone.

The Frank Stitt-owned restaurant on the city’s Southside is offering a Valentine’s Day meal featuring man courses of beef paillard, lamb chops, fresh fish and jumbo shrimp and heavy fudge pork. It also includes a choice of three desserts—lemon meringue tart, strawberry-pistachio semifreddo or Valrhona chocolate mousse cake

The price is $75 per person, and does not include beverages, tax or gratuity. Note: All menu items subject to change.

Hot and Hot Fish Club

One of the two restaurants run by Chris Hastings, Hot and Hot is offering a three-course Valentine’s dinner featuring soup or salad starters, a second course of lobster, duck or crab dishes and entrees of pork chops, venison and grilled octopus. It also comes with a chocolate soufflé dessert.

The price for the meal is $85 per person, excluding additional alcohol, tax and 20% gratuity.

Bring your sweetheart to downtown Opelika on Saturday, February 10 or Wednesday, February 14 for a special menu package that includes crab cake appetizer for two, Surf & Turf entrees of petite filet and seared lobster tail, rice pilaf and tri-color carrots and finish with two desserts of your choice - flourless chocolate cake or caramel cheesecake.

This Homewood eatery is offering what it calls its Aphrodisiac-Infused 5-Course Dinner. In addition to starters, salads and lobster bisque, entrees include steak, lamb chops, salmon or stuffed Portobello—as well as a choice of desserts. The cost is $69 per person and does not include, tax, gratuity or beverage.

This downtown Florence eatery is offering a three-course Valentine’s Day dinner. Offerings include cilantro-chili crusted snapper, cast iron seared filet and lobster risotto, scotch duck egg and a chocolate tart dessert featuring roasted banana ice cream and caramel popcorn.

The price is $50 per person, $75 with wine pairings.

Ovenbird in Pepper Place takes on a Spanish style this holiday by offering a tapas platter where you can choose three items, and raciones where you can pick two from a selection of dishes including beef, rabbit, tuna, vegetables and more. There’s also a flourless chocolate torte for dessert.

It’s $60 and includes a glass of complementary champagne.

Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille is offering a three-course, prix-fixe menu where guests can enjoy their choice of soup or salad starter, signature entrée and delectable dessert. The menu will be available for $59.95 per person before 5:30 p.m. and $79.95 per person after 5:45 p.m.

Diners will be able to choose among five soups or salads, eight entrées and three desserts. Reservations required and tax and gratuity are not included in the per-person price.

The popular food truck and catering service is offering something different this Valentine’s Day. It’s setting up shop at this Liberty Park location in Vestavia Hills and offering an $85 dinner menu and $40 wine pairings. Dinner includes a signature drink, hors d’oeuvres and a five-course meal including a special Valentine’s dessert.

This Valentine’s Day, Mountain Brook’s Vino is preparing a special menu – accompanied by roses and Moscato-infused chocolate covered strawberries –  for guests to enjoy. Vino’s regular menu offerings will also be available.

The four-course menu will include a number of unique options, including a Prosecco Cocktail with Elderflower, a Valentine’s dessert trio and a wide selection of unique canapes to whet the appetite. Cost for the meal is $75 per person, plus tax & gratuity. Reservations are encouraged.

YUMM Thai Sushi and Beyond

YUMM is offering a three-course, prix-fixe menu for Valentine’s Day that has a couple of tuna dishes, a beef dish and Thai She Crab Coconut Soup for starters and choices including filet mignon, duck curry, lobster roll or pork tempura for the entrée. Wrap up the meal with crème Brule, chocolate duo mousse or a Chocolate Divine Martini.

The cost is $62 per person or $72 per person including wine pairings.

Known for its deep-dish Chicago style pizzas, Tortugas is offering a special Valentine’s Day thin-crust pie in the shape of a heart with your choice of toppings. They’re available now through the 14th at its locations in Hoover and downtown Birmingham near Regions Field.

The Wine Loft is holding a tasting to celebrate the evening. In addition to offering a variety of wines, the special Valentine’s Day menu features a choice of pan seared Ahi tuna or baby back ribs with house-made BBQ sauce and choice of two sides—rosemary roasted sweet potatoes, sweet ginger garlic basted carrots, Caribbean coleslaw or side salad.

The price is $17.50. And for an additional $10, a special dessert offering of tiramisu for two with two chocolate dipped strawberries.
